The Rubik's Cube Experiment

This started as a simple question: what happens when you strip a Rubik's cube of its colour and give it light instead? A personal motion design project, a 10-second video built around a glowing 3D cube, dynamic camera movement, and a deep purple and pink environment. No rules, no brief, just a shape and an idea. The goal was to push my understanding of light behaviour in 3D and explore how much life you can give a single object through glow, environment and motion alone.

Process

• The sketch: six rough panels mapping the motion. It starts on a light source, moves into the cube appearing and rotating, and closes back on the light. Kept simple on purpose.
• The styleframes were red. The finish is white and purple. That shift happened in the process, and that is exactly the point.
